update 1-26-2019 tracks fit on the newest revo
update11/16/2018 i updated all the file names with the amount of the parts to print for a full set of 4 tracks at the end you will see a -x4 witch means print four of that part
update 1/1/2018 happy new year!! and iv been working on making plastic injected mold(out of aluminum) for track links to save a lot of time over printing them, for people that have access to a cnc mill and a plastic injection molding machine, I'm build my injection molder at this time, iv got the mold perfected and i shared it on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2740603 this is the hi flotation links that are much larger then the other guys design, i made the track link in fusion 360 and also created mold in fusion 360 i used meshcam to cnc molds, i just don't feel comfortable with fusion 360 cam setup yet
update 12/17/17 modified tracks for larger footprint to help float on snow lowering the ground pressure
update 12/13/17 https://youtu.be/8FQoi-6eq5I
update 12/10/17 redesign idler wheel to print with no support and so that snow would not pack up in grooves of wheel new idlers are 4 pieces and take same bearings
update 12/8/17 tested drive wheel they work vary well and snow does not build up on the wheel did a update now I'm using v4 drive wheels
update 12/7/17 found drive wheel packs up with snow and causes problems made some experimental wheels hoping it will solve problem, not tested yet but think it will help remove snow pack out of wheels both files added
added track links used 3mm abs filament for track pins also doing some durability testing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDbC5agRFSI
update 11/29/17 found as tracks brake in they would ratchet in revers after they loosen up. added track clip in different thickness so as it brakes in you can take up the extra slop so that the track don't ratchet, insert clip between tensioner wheel and tensioner guid will upload pictures when i get them
update 11/28/17 omg so much fun playing in the snow https://youtu.be/6NGkhNB2_HU
auto track tensioners are the only way to go in video the front tracks where auto tensioners the rear where manual tensioners the rears loosened up in first 10 min and started to skip the fronts stayed perfect
found these tracks from evil_k and figured id mod them for my 1/10 summit and here it is
it's a lot of printing and at least a cupel spools of plastic. stock 17mm hex just pull off stock tires and bolt the tracks
keep in mind I'm still printing and haven't tested yet
update will still need 8 of 6807-2RS bearings (for drive wheel) there is a printed bushing so you can assemble while your waiting to get bearings in the mail
the rest of the bearings are common skateboard bearings 608zz
i use 8-32 bolts 3" and cut them to length as needed found them cheep at Lowes
update 11/25/17 still printing don't have a full set yet but figured id mod it again for a spring track tensioner will up load files after i print and test parts for fit parts added fit and function look good ill test it as soon as i get a full set printed. my track number per track is 50 links
update 11/2717 one set printed. the colors don't match because I'm making 2 full sets of 4 with a buddy weight per track unit is 2lb 10oz with auto tensioner sooooo about one spool of plastic per matt track assembly will do first test drive on the 28th hoping to get some video
