Mathstick was my second year at university project. It is currently displayed at London South Bank University Enterprise Centre.
Mathstick helps young children learn basic maths: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. It can also help develop imagination when used as a construction toy for abstract shape building.
There are 3 sets of 10 inter-connectable laser cut shapes (different colour for each denomination), I call them "sticks" (1s; 10s; 100s, but there is no limit really you can cut as many as you like and as far into 0000s as you want go, as space on the face permits). They can all interconnect to create number bonds and to be used to subtract, multiply and divide, or used to construct shapes with movable parts to boost kid's imagination when they are bored of maths.
