The BBC Maida Vale Studios in Maida Vale, London on Delaware Rd. The building was built in 1909 as the Maida Vale Roller Skating Palace and Club. Between 1933/34 it was rebuilt for the BBC and predates Broadcasting House. It was used for broadcasting news in WWII. Since 1934 it has also been home to the BBC Symphony Orchestra. John Peel Sessions were also recorded in Studio 4 between 1967 and 2004. It curently contains seven studios. The studios are also used to record music sessions and programmes for the Radio.
