My daughter is midway through her Occupational Therapy Assisting program and she was tasked with designing an adaptive technology that would assist people with disabilities. With a 99 year old great-grandmother with failing eyesight, who still enjoys playing cards in mind, she thought of designing a holder for the trump card.
Since I had the skills and the 3D printer, I volunteered both so that it wasn't a cardboard and tape production. Perhaps someone will find it usefull for something.
The clamp fits a CARSON FreeHand LED Magnifier, 2.5x/5x, found at Office Depot, and attaches in a way that it allows for the stand to close and for the light switch to turn on and off.
This could be used for a lot more than holding a trump card. With a small alligator clip or other attachments, it could provide help in holding and magnifying small things that are being soldered, glued or otherwise worked on. I made one of the holding arms in two parts so that designing new holders would use less plastic and be swapable.
