I originally posted this with another spinner I created. I felt like it should be two separate uploads so here it is.
I wanted a spinner that didn't have exposed outer weights.
I also wanted a design so kids could spin them easier, so they have a smaller diameter.
This design will either accommodate 3/4" X 3/16" button magnets or three pennies.
I like using magnets because you can use them to make each other spin, stick to fridge, etc.
To insert the weights just pause at the corresponding layer at the top of the magnets or pennies in each hole.
I did not include spinner caps because there are already plenty of good designs.
You can get the magnets at most craft stores, I picked up a 52 pack at Walmart for $6.
Tips:
Do not use supports otherwise your holes will get filled up.
Depending on your software use the option to not cross the outline for travel movements.
This keeps the holes free and clear of any strands of stray filament.
If you look at the pictures I paused right before layer 31 to get the magnets in place.
But this will change depending on what settings you use.
If you have questions let me know.
