The M-30 is the final product of a year and a half project to create a main battle tank capable of outclassing most NATO tanks. The Name Banshee is given because the original design had twin gas turbine engines. this produced a loud scream when the vehicle accelerated. The design has now become the M-30A3 Mk.2. That is a confusing designation so I'll break it down. The A3 means this is the third major model change. The Mk.2 denotes that it has received the M-30A3 upgrade kit. this replaces the older Mk.3 autoloader with the new and more reliable Mk. 4. The autoloader gives the tank a fire rate of 11 rounds per minute. The tank has had other minor changes. The A3 model has been given a hydropneumatic suspension, the driver has been given a better seat for his position. the driver now sits almost on his back reducing space used and giving room for frontal fuel tanks. The power pack has been upgraded to be a twin W16 diesel power pack with an VR4 auxiliary power unit. The commander has been given an uplink used to control remote targeting drones. These drones are small quadcopters launched by infantry. The M-30A3 fires 130mm CORE ammunition with high power propellant. In addition, the 25mm cannon mounted on the commander's remote turret can fire two types of ammunition. It fires 25mm APFDS-T and 25mm HE ammunition. The gunner has the 130mm cannon and a 12.7mm coax. the tank can accommodate the fitting of laser scramblers/detectors on multiple points on the turret and hull. The tank can travel just over 96 K/h. and can traverse gaps up to two metres wide. capable of mounting vehicle tools like mine ploughs and rollers. The M-30A3 can mount a special pusher unit for pushing vehicles to prematurely detonate mines and IEDs. The Banshee has a crew of three and weighs ~65 metric tons fully kited and loaded. The Banshee also has another set of special skills. The A3 comes standard with the guardian APS with both soft and hard kill systems. The guardian can kill a HEAT round travelling at Mach 3 from ~457 m. Banshee can carry a special version of the French galix, called Angel Wings. Angel Wings can launch smoke and anti-infantry grenades. the smoke is multispectral and obscures the tank from both visual, IR, UV, and radar imaging systems.
