This is just the same Arduino sketch but using NEOPIXELs instead of dotstar strips. While the Dotstar strips are amazing, they are more expensive and not strictly required in this project.
Wiring diagram is identical except the only difference is the LED strip only is a 1 wire serial protocol for NEOPIXEL and thus only D5 goes to the LED strip signal input.

FYI I ran into an issue using the stock libraries from Adafruit for the graphics. This hint will help http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=364400.0 You just have to go in and configure the library for the 128x64 display.
