LP Style Guitar for printing on CR10 size bed (300mmx300mm). Scale all OBJs to 2540% in Cura. I modeled in inches and this resolves the unit size conversion. Print for strength.
I used 3mm walls and 50% triangle infill in Cura. The neck shim was the only thing I printed at 100% infill. There are Left Handed (Marked LH) and Right Handed Parts (RH).
I am left handed so that's what I made. Print parts laying flat. Thingiverse shows them vertical for some reason.
This is a LONG print. The front section of the body was 82.5 hours. The other body
sections were around 42 hours each. With this in mind I made the whole top
swappable so you can print different tops with out having to reprint the body sections.
I used about 2 rolls of black PLA (Tainse Brand) and less than half a roll of the Army Green. I plan to model additional tops in the future. Because this was a simple flat top the pick ups
may seem a little low. Adjust or raise them as you see fit.
Scale length 24-3/4" is for a 22 fret necks. Amazon sells a Kmise neck for ~$45. That is what I used. I got the tuners, bridge and neck plate from Amazon too.
Get the Kwick Plug wire harness and pickups from GFS (Guitar Fetish) and you won't have to solider anything.
IMPORTANT: I made the body 1.5" to save time and filament. Most neck screws will be too long and will go through the neck at this depth. Use shorter screws. I used some short dry wall screws I had.
