Lotus Elise / Exige S1 dash mount clips.
These clips hook into the switch or heater recess at the bottom, and the top dash join at the top. Should not scratch the top rail's painted finish but YMMV. Use with care.
They are blanks so you can attach whatever phone or sat nav mount to them that you want. The picture shows a pair of prototypes in white PLA, with a printed phone mount glued to them. This holds surprisingly well.
Access to the controls under the phone mount is slightly impeded by this design, but you can still see and operate them without too much effort.
The phone mount shown is https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4788572
There is a sole plate for a Tom Tom Rider satnav that can be glued to these clips: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4788738
There are additional files for optional braces that can be glued across the two clips where the curved section joins the top bar. Thes will give a little more rigidity to the finished mount. One is for the phone clamp mount, the other is for the Tom Tom Rider mount.
I found the curved profile on the original Thing wasn't a great fit for the S1 dash rail (too tight), so I added a break in the curved section with a circular ring acting as a spring. I made it thinner and doubled it, but you can always take one of the clips and stretch it along the Z axis if you prefer a thicker mount style similar to the original Thing.
