The new park side stand massively dwarfs the other three. It looks ugly and out of place, but its here to stay. The Tower end Kop (it is now known as the kop after fans started to call it that) was extended in 1994. As NTL paid half of the expansion cost, the Tower End Kop is renamed the NTL Kop. In September '94, City drew up plans for a new 3-tier stand on the north side (park side). They couldnt extend the stand any further because the top tier was already angled at 30degrees and the limit is 33 degrees. Work started in early 1994, and the stand was complete by mid-to-late 1995, the same year they were the divison 1 champions (1st div at tier 2 record of 130 points!) and promoted to the premier league. The club now plans to extend the kop again to the height of the north stand 3rd tier and do the same with the south 'town' stand, although the town side stand has the same problem as the north because its second tier is too steep for a third tier to be installed, but the club do not have enough money to build another massive stand. Sorry about the floodlight in the family corner, a fault i havent yet corrected. #20th_century #21st_century #bridgewater #brittish #city #classic #dwarf #english #from #london #millenium #park #pitch #stand
