London Cricket Ground, most recently renamed “o2 Park” has had a long history of use. The stadium was originally designed for a London Olympics Bid but when the city didn’t win, the stadium had already begun. The designers altered the design dropping the capacity from 90,000 to 75,000. The stadium currently hosts Chelsea FC, Fulham FC, England National Cricket and occasional national matches of England Football. The stadium also has hosted many concerts such as Coldplay, u2, The Fray and dozens of other artists. It was included in a bid for an English World Cup that won. Due to the renovation of the Finals Stadium, was selected to host the World Cup Final before Old Trafford won over it. The most notable feature of the stadium was not included in the Olympics Design; the bizarre roof design covering the o2 Stand was added to make the roof a continuous object. The official venue capacity is 75,000 all seated for sporting events and 85,000 for concerts. #Cheslea_FC #Craven_Cottage #Cricket #Cricket_Ground #England #England_Cricket #Football #Fulham_FC #London #Soccer #Stamford_Bridge
