In this video I will show you how to perform a typical demon eye installation on a headlight retrofit. The projectors being used are Morimoto H1 Bi-Xenon projectors and the demon eyes are from Profile Performance.
Although Profile Performance claims that their demon eye LED modules do not require a driver, I have found that unprotected LEDs in an automotive system may be subject to high voltage spikes. Most electrical equipment used in vehicles carries an automotive rating and the components are automotive grade. This may have to do with things like temperature variation, voltage spikes, or vibrations in the vehicle environment.
LEDs are typically current driven devices. However, since I do not know the exact specifications of the LEDs, I will be using a constant voltage regulator that should at least keep voltage spikes away from the more expensive LED modules. The adjustable voltage regulators can be found here:

In the video you will see that I adjust the voltage to 10.5V. There is no change in perceivable brightness on these modules from 10.5 to 12V. This to give an approximate 1.5V drop out voltage when the vehicle is off and the battery is at 12V. Therefore the voltage to the demon eyes remains regulated and you will not notice a change in brightness when the vehicle is on or off.
