This base was designed to hold the LEDs, Wemos D1 Mini and a push-button to turn on/off/toggle colors. I installed WLED firmware on the D1 Mini since it allowed the push button to work flawlessly.
Settings of the Lithophane sphere are as shown below. But the main thing to keep in mind is the Cylinder Inner Diameter, which is not listed but can be calculated by taking the outer diameter and subtracting the cylinder thickness (OD - (2x-T))= 60mm. The design for the base where it meets the sphere is 55mm to allow for ease of movement to rotate the sphere as needed for displaying any side of it.
It also allows a USB cable to run underneath up into the core where it can connect to the D1 Mini. I used hot glue to keep everything in place as can be seen in the photos.
