This version is similar to my previous one titled "Lithophane Frame Curved". It also uses lithophanes made from square aspect pictures. This frame is designed for lithophanes of size 100mm by 100mm by 3mm.
In my experience, if everything is printed with white filament, then the walls will reflect the light from a strip of 6 white LED's very well and it will light up the box in a nice uniform way. I usually place the LED strip flat on the bottom facing up.
In my examples here I used 2 strips, one whit and one blue. In my next version I plan on adding an extra box for a circuit to drive RGB LED's.
The hole near the bottom is 8.5 mm in diameter for a common 12V DC power adapter cord to power the LED strip.
If you plan on adding text to the top cover, you can do either hollow text like I did or it can be solid raised text. I personally like the text to be on the bottom side of the cover because I use Cura 14.07 most of the time. But with better settings or better slicer software you could probably achieve very good results printing text on the top side. This will give you a sharper, crisper text easier to see from a distance.
In my examples I used 3D Solutech Teal color filament. I like this color because in low light situations it looks blue when LED's are off and it looks green when it's on.
