LGM-25C Titan II ICBM – Nuclear Launch Facility

This model represents a Titan II ICBM launch complex, typical of those that existed during the Cold War. On the surface, the launch facilities covered an area of 600 by 600 feet, while underground, the facilities consisted of a147 foot deep concrete reinforced missile launch silo connected via a 250 foot long shock resistant access tunnel to the shock resistant 37 foot diameter three-story dome-shaped launch command / combat crew center, with a reinforced concrete complex access structure located in between, with multiple 6,000 lb. steel isolating blast doors designed to protect the launch and control centers. This model contains Dynamic Component blast doors that swing open or closed, along with my Titan II rocket and a highly detailed Launch Control Center.
