this bus was used widely by west yorkshire public transit executive from the early 1980s all the way to 2008 when First west yorkshire decided to Scrap,Sell or transfer the remaining leyland olympian roes replacing them with volvo b7tl's. These magnificant buses had a Leyland olympian chassis ECW and a Charles h roe/ Optare boddy and were built between 1980-1990 with the first batch delivered to wypte with Charles h roe boddy and the second batch delivered with Optare of crossgates boddy delivered to Yorkshire rider bradford and leeds, Most of these worked on the Gold rider coach services fitted with coach seats and others on the normal services with standard bus seats.These buses have the following liveries, (Leeds) Wypte,Yorkshire rider leeds,Leeds city link,First leeds red orrange and yellow,first barbie fade,and the last 5 had first barbie willow leaf, in bradford, WYPTE,YORKSHIRE RIDER BRADFORD,Bradford traveler,firsr blue and first barbie fade. in hudds, Yorkshire rider once again looked to buy buses from other yorkshire rider devisions like leeds or bradford.
