This is an addition to the vertex k8400 3D printer installed to the extruder's board centrifugal fan.
Even having the additional extruder's fan duct it helps with extra light while printing.
Pay attention that this installation might limit the Y axes travel of approx 22 mm which by the way corresponds to the same limitation introduced by the previously installed extra fan duct.
The led light can be found in Sweden at http://www.biltema.se/sv/Bygg/Belysning-och-lampor/LED/LED-lampa-G4-2000032634/ I guess it is a standard component sold worldwide.
The other components are:
1 M4 screw 25 mm length
1 M4 self-locking nut
2 strings of electrical wire (i.e. 0,2 mm2) of approx length 80-100 mm
Bend the led light connectors at 90 degr. upward, trim them to approx 5 mm and solder the two wires. It looks like the polarity doesn't matter.
Gently snap fit the led light into the printed case inserting the cables thru the case exit hole. You might want you add a small blob of hot glue, mine didn't need any glue since the surface of the case is rough enough to keep it in place and you can add some tension with the two connection's pins.
Connect the cables, the case to the vertical centrifugal fan and tight gently the screw so you can still tilt the light with some pressure. I kept mine horizontal just enough to clear the structure of the printer when Y travel limit is reached.
Enjoy the light!
Ciao
