The stock filament feeder for the Leapfrog Xeed appears to have been originally designed for 2.85mm filament using a MK7 drive. The 2015 Xeed when I bought it, was setup for 1.75mm filament.
I designed my parts to shift the filament path 1mm toward the drive gear. With a centered path, I could pass a 2mm hex through without touching the drive gear.
The stock filament feeder didn't make any attempt to constrain the filament path through the feeder (see aluminum cylinders). I tried to constrain the filament path as much as i could.
The stock feeder used M5 threads to attach the bowden tube. I used e3d bowden tube connectors.
With this setup on the bench I can feed semi-flex through with the knobs. I have not tried printing with semi-flex.
