So you so you don't have to go running all over the place I will provide all the parts that I used. I made two large spool rollers. The bearings, rod and shaft collars and aluminum tube I ordered from the large online retailer Am*$on (Amazon), because I am lazy. You need:
(1) 8 Bearings 608ZZ 8x22x7 pre-greased
(2) 8mm shaft 30"
(3) Aluminum 6061-T6 Seamless Round Tubing, WW-T 700/6, 1" OD, 0.87" ID, 0.065" Wall,
(4) 4 or 8 8mm ID Shaft Collars
After printing the STL for either a single or dual, cut the aluminum tubing just a little shorter than the inside measurement of the Spool Holder but tight enough so the edge of a spool can fall into. Next take a bearing and clean the outer edge. Take some clear Scotch Tape and make one turn around the outside (see photos). This serves as a shim and also to keep super glue out of the bearing. Next use some gap filling (thick) super glue and run a small bead around the inside of the aluminum tube. Fold or taper the Scotch Tape so you can insert the bearing without getting glue on the bearing. Push bearing in, just flush or just protruding a little if you have the room. Do all tubes the same way then leave overnight to let the glue dry. Assemble by cutting the 8mm shaft to the correct length (don’t forget to add the length of two collars).
Assemble and use.
