This is a complete remodeling of the large combination lock by @EGauthierEAO.
This version requires no bolts, but rather snaps together
It scales nicely to 50% unlike the original
Face plate uses sunk numerals for better print
Requires no support
Uses friction tabs to eliminate free wheeling.
There is a plate you may print all the parts scaled to 50% which I recommend as ideal print size
All the parts are aligned for printing without support, I would recommend going slow with the smaller parts (push pin, LockDIsc)
Please comment and post your make! :-)
below is the development log, I am considering adding a gear system to enhance accuracy and add multiple complete rotations:
1.4
modified Base to have separate friction pole - easier printing and more robust; pole sliced to be easier to print on flat side
modified friction plates to have more friction 1.21 & 1.22
added chamfer for edge of poles on base plate for easier assembly
1.2
shorten track of latch by 2mm
rollers have rounded entrance with 3mm
Added Friction tabs + Spacer as part of top plate + Base adaptation for friction
Added full STL plate with 50% and correct orientation for print without support
1.1
removed redundant pole from base and top
reduced height of top roller main radius to clear top plate by 1mm
increased U bolt radius for the latch + latch hole radius
changed lock design including slide (now a U disc)
1.0
initial modelling of lock
3 direct motion rollers
face plate is with embedded numerals
top roller with slot connection to dial
no actual need for push2 - the push1 installed from the top is enough
