1969 Land Rover Defender. The original use of Land Rovers was off roading. They were built to be tough 4x4 vehicles that could conquere more rough terrain than almost any vehicle. Today, Land Rovers and especialy Range Rovers are built more luxurius and expensive and are not taken off road nearly as much. People think of them more as a fun sport SUV(sport utility vehicle). This was one of the smaller Land Rovers, so it can fit on narrower trails. Older land Rovers like these were used in the Decar Rally very often, especialy for the Cammel Trophey Team. This was because they did so well off road and wouldn't break down or get stuck on extreme rough terrain.
