Repair sections molding for Series I, II and early IIA wire spoke steering wheel.
This is the way it worked on mine which was seriously corroded, there are a lot of pictures attached to shows the repair process.
You may need to build up welding on the coroded steering frame to restore metal to origional thickness (I had to do that on the two worst area). Use TIG welding with low heat input and cool down the remaining sound backelite so It does not deteriorate.
What the picture don't shows is the time spent to polish and wax the PLA molds. Finishing epoxy build up on the junction with the spoke and hand shaping the connection.
Only use (extra) slow curring epoxy resin! do not attempt with a hardner/epoxy combination that you are not familiar with (exhotermic reaction). Mixt your resin with light filler such as glass sphere, wood or coton dust and pigment.
If I had more time I would have made a mold that integrate the wire spoke junction... But even known that one was a bad steering wheel it was still repareable with this metohd.
Please note this is free stuff (I made it), while some companies offer steering restoration service for considerable fee, this metohd is maybe not easy but is a way to restore an expensive item for very little money.
