Lancer-class frigate

The Lancer-class frigate is an anti-starfighter capital ship used by the Galactic Empire. Since its inception, the Lancer-class frigate was designed to counter and destroy any incoming Rebel starfighters that'll make Star Destroyers vulnerable to the 'Trench Run Disease'. It was developed by Kuat Drive Yards, as a response to the aforementioned Rebel tactic, in which a greater need of anti-starfighter was made clear, after the destruction of the first Death Star. Slim, and armed with 20 quad laser cannons, the Lancer-class frigate served in its anti-starfighter role well, while larger, more powerful Star Destroyers will have an easier time pummeling enemy vessels in ship-to-ship combat.
