Kommandeurwagen Typ 82

The Kommandeurwagen Typ 82 was the military version of the Beetle, built in Germany from 1939-1945. Although the priority was the production of the Kübelwagen, about 670 of these vehicles were built, many in underground plants which allowed the production to resume after the war. The subsequent post-war Beetle basically repeated the characteristics of the Typ 82 and became the greatest sales phenomenon in the automotive history. The model depicted here was imported from the game Battlefield 1942 and represents a Typ 82 of a Rifle Company, Russia, circa 1942 (notice the license plate actually belongs to a Kubelwagen, as you may see just doing a single consult on Google).
