I can't believe the years I've snowboarded without taking better care of my knees when riding the gondola! I ski in Eldora, Colorado and there, the lifts take a long time to get to the top of the slopes - so, my right knee (cuz I'm goofy-foot) always feels stressed from having my snowboard dangle at an awkward angle the entire trip up.
Well, be sore no more... and SOAR! (sorry!) Use this simple hook, in combination with a 12 inch segment of rope (plus or minus a few inches, depending on your size) and a carabiner - and you'll be able to comfortably carve the slopes all day long, knee-pain free! Carabiner end secures to a loop in your garment (I use the ringlet for gloves on my ski vest) and hook the other end to the board - and relax as you ascend to your next trailhead in comfort.
Give it a try - I think you'll be very glad you did. :)
Feel free to check out my other designs which are as diverse as they are many:

January 14th, 2016 update: Added a Version 3 - this one is neither too long nor too short and has a reinforced hook so it'll be harder to break. I was thinking of kickstarting this idea - if you have any feedback, please be sure to share!
