Popular during the 1800s The Italianate Style originated from the Italian Rennisance Architecture and was popularised in the early-mid 1800s by Alexander Jackson Davis. These structures can be found all over the western world, But were most popular in England, The US, and Australia. They were well ornamented and included Arched windows and detailed cornices made out of wood and cast iron. The style eventually fell out of popularity in the late 1800s (1890).
