After playing this game a few times and experiencing the "joy" of ~20 baggies to play, I decided I had to do something about it. After about two hours of measuring and modeling and measuring and modeling I'd put crafted eight unique parts and produced this set that fits neatly within the in-box support while allowing the box top to close almost perfectly. Thirteen prints later (okay, fifteen because I messed up one and the printer messed up one) the set was complete. The box can be stored on its side or even upside down (what monster would do this?) since the boards hold everything in place, even though there's a few gaps.
Column 1: 4 boxes - Each box is a player box with three starting crew members and the player's cubes.
Column 2: Ship box with holders for ship base; hired crew stack box with event markers below; renown stack box; and battle box containing Ichor, serpents, & pirates plus ice below.
Column 3: Box spacer to make sure things stay in place; bank box for coins (1 & 5) below, with card holders for buildings, events, and reputation.
Column 4: Book box; Fish box; lumber box.
Files uploaded include groups to minimize the number of jobs, and as individual files (with #+letter) for more control of which parts to print.
Edit: I designed this from the retail copy of the game, and the Wanhao I was printing with seemed to produce output a few tenths of a MM larger than design, but it fit the bits and pieces nicely. Some have suggested that printing at 102-103% creates more comfortable sizing for their pieces. I was curious about this, so I reprinted a piece on my Ultimaker and did feel that it was more snug, but did still fit. Consider printing one of the player boxes (1a) to test fit and scale up the 2-3% to get the fit you like for your pieces. Sadly, if scaled the box layout suggested probably won't work. :sad trombone:
