The Inverse Phase Shifting Wave-Disruptor (or Disruptor) is the latest in directed energy weapons, created by the finest minds British retro science has to offer! Using high powered microwaves, the auto adjusting inverse phase shifter adjusts the frequency of two separately emitted sets of waves, causing them to meet out of phase with one another at a determined point. With the built in target designator, the point at which the two waves meet is automatically determined when aimed at a target. The frequency of the waves may be adjusted to have different effects on the target. This can range from irreparable cellular damage to temporarily stunning the target. It will also identify inorganic targets and repurpose the beam to excite the atoms making up the target, causing any metallic materials to melt. Also, an impressive safety feature of the weapon is its target-lock ability, whereby a range or target may be locked into the wave emitter causing any waves to always meet out of phase at the same distance. This reduces friendly fire, as any object or person caught in the beam will remain unharmed as the waves are not meeting out of phase. Along with this comes an easily read charge meter, showing the power level of the current fusion battery. When depleted, a fresh battery may be loaded into the back of the weapon, which unscrews.
