I wanted something to keep a cookbook or tablet at eye level when cooking. This design folds flat against the inside of a cabinet door (I have one which swings out near my usual work area). The "hinges" connect with turkey-lacing pins cut to the right length and with a small jag at the end so they hold when forced in. The pins I get are about 10cm in length so two equal-length halves meet in the middle block for each hinge (4 pins or rods total). Any other steel rod or pin about 1.5mm in diameter will also work. Upper pins were about 6cm each and lower were about 8cm each.
If you want to try to use the lower inside groove of your cabinet door to catch the back of the tray, you might not need to print the catches.
Parts were attached using #6 screws. 3/8" or 1/2" will work since the pieces are about 1/4" thick.
Note: added a hollow back for those who might want that.
