A few mods for the great indy revolver model here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2921031
I have included bullets that will fit the cylinder, (you may need to sand down your cylinder post a little if you have not left it adjustable.
I have also included 2 spacers to allow the cylinder/arm to be functional. for this to work you had to have removed the pushrod from the barrel and left it on it's own to allow the cylinder arm to still move.
Use the spacer that best suits you, I used the large one,
how to set this up:
1- put in something to space out the spacer into the hole on the bullpup arm.
2- put in the large spacer
3- apply glue to the end of the spacer
4- insert the bullpup arm with the spacer in it into the channel on the receiver so that the spacer and glue attach to the receiver
5- let it dry completely
6- with the normal print friction this is all that is needed, my spacer acts as a post to keep the arm in place
7- insert the Extractor rod into the arm and into the cylinder (you can glue it or friction fit, I leave it friction fit.
Optional, you can put the other spacer into the cylinder arm hole and drill out a small hole through the arm. then you can remove the short spacer and connect the cylinder arm to the newly installed spacer via an m3 bolt and this will secure the arm (but it can create other issues if you don't widen the drilled hole on the arm to allow free movement, For me I left it free so I could work on it and replace any parts that break
The bullets all fit the cylinder stock, while they move ok I moved that arm a tad so that it revolved nicely. you could also shave off some of the cylinder post that attaches to the cylinder arm. All 6 bullets print without any support, and in about 1 hour. adds some nice realism to the original prop.
Files:
large spacer: to be glued to the receiver
small spacer: can be used to space the spacer in the arm
mod bullet: the bullet that fits the cylinder
Enjoy! If you enjoy my prints please consider donating, even a dollar helps :) it's always appreciated :) https://www.paypal.me/RychardK
