Indoor Sundial based on an LED-RGB being rotated by a servo-motor as time passes.
Build instructions and list of parts attached. In short:
all 3D printed parts x 1
1x Arduino Uno (any Arduino will work, but mountings fit Uno)
1x standard Micro-servo (not continuous rotation)
1x standard RGB LED + 3*resistors (e.g. 150 Ohm)
2x pushbuttons (details see build instructions) + 2* resistors (e.g. 10k Ohm)
1x transistor + resistor (e.g. 220 Ohm) – optional
1x Reflective Collimator (details see build instructions)
also:
Some pins for plugging things to the Arduino
Some cables, solder, tape, screws for Arduino
Depending on your printing colour you may want to add a printout of mask.pdf to get a white reflecting surface with digits
Note1: it's an OpenSCAD file so you can easily adjust dimensions of things if you cant find the exact same parts I used.
Note2: There is a "dome" in the full model stl. This is not strictly needed, and it's not shown in the pictures.
Note3: You will need the "Time.h" Library for Arduino (https://github.com/PaulStoffregen/Time)
Update 20151209: fixed a silly bug with am/pm system in Arduino code
