The Indictor-class electronic warfare corvette, also known as the Imperial electronic warfare corvette, Imperial anti-blockade runner or simply the Indictor-class corvette, was an advanced type of warship used by the Galactic Empire, manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards. As its name would imply, the Indictor-class was designed specifically for electronic countermeasures against any Rebel vessels, as evidenced by its large suite of sensors, antennae and other electronic equipment, The only trade-off is that its is very lightly armed (with only a single light turbolaser and heavy laser cannon for self-defense) and lacked any shields, but makes up for it by its blistering speeds that rivaled even the Rebel CR90 corvette. In terms of design, it has some design aspects from the iconic Star Destroyer line, but has lesser resemblance to them. The most notable difference is the lack of a command tower, as the bridge itself was hidden deep inside the main hull of the vessel, resembling more like a combat information center. This design aspect provides its crew even greater protection from starfighters than even the more offensively-oriented Vigil-class Star Corvette. Due to its role as an electronic countermeasures vessel, the Indictor-class was ill-suited for combat, thus was only used to running through Rebel blockades. Nonetheless, the Indictor-class was an invaluable asset to the Imperial fleet, by providing any fleet with additional defense by jamming Rebel radars, giving much larger vessels an easier time to focus more on ship-to-ship combat. Production of Indictor-class corvettes ceased by the time of the Yuuzhan Vong War.
