I built Corben33s Jelly Bean Dispensor but wanted to make a few improvements.
Changes:
· Made a catching tray so the candy does not shoot across my desk.
· Tweaked the shelves extending them to give more movement
· Cut the bottom leading edge of the shelves to give a touch more space.
· Added guiding shelves to guide the candy to the shaft hole.
· Elongated the shaft and removed the cap so a knob can be added on each side for left and right handed people.
· Enlarged the hole on the shaft.
· Changed the knob to be glued on. i.e. got rid of the hole.
· Elongated the tops front and back just a bit to make it hangover a little (done after the pictured print)
· Changed the stopper there is a solid stopper that can be printed and left but I also split it into a top and bottom, the bottom I printed in the color of the top so it matches if looking under it, and the top of the plug is separate so other things can be added, I added a puppy that Cerberus333 made and shrunk it to fit the top of the stopper.
· Made a longer back and front to hold more candy.
You can print the front out of clear PETG and it looks pretty cool but don't let it print infill, instead tell it to do massive perimeters so that it will not use any infill, it is quite clear with a cool pattern, I was going to post it but I snapped it getting it off of my bed (PETG overly sticks to PEI beds) it looked really cool, I was so disappointed when it broke.
I did not design this, Corben33 did and he did a great job, I just saw some areas to enhance it.
I made this for my father in law for Christmas and added the puppy stopper as he is a veterinarian.
