Very fast and maneuverable, the IPV-1 patrol craft patrols Imperial sectors when Imperial Star Destroyers cannot be everywhere. They are regarded as the first line of defense against smugglers and various organizations attempting insurrection against an Imperial system, and rely on their speed to catch and disable or destroy enemy craft.
