Immobilizer 418/Interdictor-class heavy cruiser

The Immobilizer 418 cruiser, better known as the Interdictor-class heavy cruiser, was a 600-meter long class of warship built on the standard Vindicator-class heavy cruiser, manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems. Equipped with four gravity well generators, it was primarily designed to pull enemy vessels from hyperspace, and preempt them from making a jump to light speed, forcing the enemy to stay in the combat zone, unless the Immobilizer 418, itself, was destroyed. It was only armed with 20 quad laser cannons for short-range self-defense against other vessels that come close to it. Like the Vindicator, the Immobilizer 418 has a limited fighter complement of 2 TIE Fighter squadrons. As such, it was usually kept at the rear of the fleet, for the sake of safety, while slowing down enemy vessels and denying them from hyperspace jumping. Support from as least two or three Indictor-class electronic warfare corvettes provide additional ECM defense to prevent Rebels from locking on the Immobilizer 418.
