DO NOT PRINT YET, DIMENSIONS NOT CURRENT
I originally saw the e3d silicone mold, and then found this printable mold, and it inspired me to try it as well. My heater block has different dimensions, so I made this one.
I printed the pieces in pla and filled it in with high temp silicon gasket maker. I will update wth finalized dimesions and more pictures. I purchased the red gasket maker instead of copper, which is a little springier and can still handle the temperatures.
It took about 3 days for the gasket maker to set completely, it isn't meant to be applied so thick. You can see in the first picture my second version i designed. It was too thick some parts so it came out really ugly. I trimmed it up and it fits really well. I accidentally cut the top too far down so it comes up short, but it still works great.
I have the diiicooler and microswiss hotend. With that combination i would sometimes have to set my printer 5-15 degrees warmer than needed because it wouldn't stay hot enough. Now there is virtually no temperature fluctuation, +/-1 degree most of the time.
I am showing in the second picture that even when heated up to operating temps it is safe to touch the gasket. It does get hot, but it isn't going to burn you. Safe!
Overall I am very happy with this so far, I will upload new files and pictures soon.
