HX-3 Ion cannon

The HX-3 Ion cannon is the standard heavy weapon for the AU. Unlike any handheld anti-tank weapon ever before, the HX-3 uses a laser instead of rockets or grenades. The laser is contained in carge tubes that can fire non-stop for a full three and a half seconds, after which they are ejected and replaced with fully charged tubes. Part of the Henry Xaiver compact design, the HX-3 is a fairly light weapon for anti-tank but is hard to handle. The trigger handle is held in the right hand, but the rest of the gun can be held two different ways. One, resting the suspension stock against the shoulder and placing the left hand under the gun. Holding this way, a soldier can look through the sighter. Or, two, the stock goes under the shoulder and the left hand holds onto the stabilizer handle. The latter is the most common holding position. The Ion cannon isn't only anti-tank though, and can be used to slice people in half. #AU #cannon #HX3 #ion #laser #Rogue1
