AIR HEAT RECOVERY - WHEEL - WITH HUMIDITY CONTROL
UPGRADE - In case you do not have a GT2 Pulley for this project:
New GT2 Pulley 50T and all required to accommodate it. New OPEN SHAFT, MOTOR SUPPORT and CIRCLIP.
...and a new GT2 Pulley 76T and all required to accommodate it. New MOTOR LEVER HOUSE 76, MOTOR SUPPORT 76 and of course the GEAR 76T.

Unit is connected to the Central AC ( or the inlet and outlet of a room vent.), it collect oxygen depleted air from bathrooms and kitchen, and bring fresh air in to the rooms.
An Arduino controlled motor ( Nema 17) will spin the Heat Exchange Wheel (wheel is fill up with the Moisture Absorbent - Silica gel). The fresh air and the air evacuated pass through the heat recovery unit. Into the Unit Drum take place the heat/moisture exchange:
For example, when HOT AIR - FROM OUTSIDE enter in to the unit from ONE SIDE, and COULD AIR - room temperature - oxygen depleted (when room was cooled by an AC unit), FROM THE OTHER SIDE, the fresh air gets to be cool down using the chill of the air we are evacuating.
The difference between a classic heat exchanger (Partition Plates) and the HVAC, this unit will control also the humidity during the heat transfer. On the sample above, the Hot Fresh Air will be depleted of a moisture percent and transfer it to the evacuated stream of air.
Same goes during the winter time, cold air is warm up by the warm air we are evacuating.
Speed of the drum is a low one, 15 - 90 rev/min. ; and a relation between variation of temperature/humidity exchange and speed can be calculate and developed based on the system performance and your necessities.
Strongly recommend to use HEPA filters for all intake connections, ( air going in to the unit - fresh and depleted), in order to protect the silica gel filter.

If is chose to increase the humidity filtration percent, transforming the Heat Recovery Unit in to a Air Dehumidifier, in order to accelerate the regeneration of the Silica gel, therefore, allowing the system to absorb more humidity, the Heat Exchange Wheel must be "flushed" by a stream of hot air.https://www.researchgate.net/publication/296481064_Effect_of_Regenaration_Air_Temperature_on_Desiccant_Wheel_Performance
