A derringer is generally the smallest usable handgun of a given caliber. They were frequently used by women because they are easily concealable in a purse, or as a stocking gun. Derringers are not repeating firearms—repeating mechanism such as used on semi-automatic handguns or revolvers would add significant bulk to the gun, defeating the purpose. The original cartridge derringers held only a single round, usually a pinfire or rimfire .40 caliber cartridge, with the barrel pivoted sideways on the frame to allow access to the breech for reloading. This model is something i never expected myself to do. When i first saw the pic it looked like a fun weapon to model but then i looked closer and i saw all the forms. I worked with this in 4 hours and i think i got both left and right side damn straight! I applied textures to this one too. I hope everybody like the model and i hope it will do for atleast one 5. Thanks for reading and for sparing your time now, go ahead and downlad! Special thanks to Volcol for giving me some lessons in 'unnecessary' and 'necessary' objects.
