The Hub Bub Odd is a very simple Wind Power wind turbine for the 2017 division C Science Olympiad, based on the original Hub Bub. It should be fully rules complaint but check dimensions before using this design.
The Hub Bub Odd is an easy to attach hub that allows 1/8" wooden dowels to be used to attach fins to the CD. Unlike the original Hub Bub, the Hub Bub Odd is based on sets of three fins and not four. The Hub Bub Odd comes in two flavors, a three (3) and a six (6) fin configuration. Note that you will need a printer able to print thing fairly dimensionally accurate or you will spend a lot of time either gluing or sanding the dowels.
The dowels should be firm while in place but still removable. Helpful note, glue to the 'shiny' side of the CD.

Hardware Needed:
1x 1/8" Dowel Rod 48" long
1x Super Glue
1x Standard CD

Info on Installing:
Hub and CD : Glue the Hub Bub Odd to the shiny side of the CD using Super Glue. The 'rings' should be the part of the Hub Bub Odd attached to the CD.
Dowel Rod : Cut the dowel rods to length to meet the rule set. Attach the fins to the dowel rods and insert dowels into the Hub Bub Odd.

Info on the Design:
Both the Hub Bub and the Hub Bub Odd were create to allow for rapid testing of different fin designs for the Wind Power Science Olympiad Competition. I have tried to keep the weight down as it turns out that it has a massive effect on the efficiency of the blades. Overall, it is a very simple design that should give the user of the Hub Bub or Hub Bub the ability to iterate fast and test reliable.
Note: At time of upload, the design has not been tested in competition and has no guarantee of performance.
