My Printrbot hotend's life came to an end from approximately three years of constant use, and the only hotend I had extra at hand was a Hexagon hotend, and I need a way to attach it to my printrbot. The problem is is that the hexagon hotend is considerably shorter than the original printrbot one, and due to my printers setup, a shorter hotend simply would not work. This is where I decided to come up with a way to adapt the hotend I had to fit, and this part was born. This is a hotend adapter to allow for my hexagon hotend to fit on my printrbot. The PTFE adapter allows the user to run a PTFE tube from the extruder to the hotend directly, allowing for a more direct filament path.
