I created this cd slot iPhone holder because others put the gigantic phone over the middle passenger air vent, which my wife hates, and has the phone leaning backwards at an awkward angle. And since the phone is so tall, there's nothing in the back to prevent unwanted backward bending when you tap your phone. And lastly, none of the designs would hold our phones with cases on them.
So I designed this to have the iPhone more off the the side and at an angle so it doesn't impede airflow to the passenger side so much. The case is also lowered with a back support so you can hit the home button without bending the whole unit backwards. It's best to put a bit of foam on the back support to prevent wearing into the dash. Prints in two pieces, superglue or epoxy together. Recommend printing in ABS if you live in hot climates.
