The glomerulus is a network of blood capillaries present within the renal capsule, where water and waste will be filtered from the blood to form the glomerular filtrate.
The glomerulus is responsible for blood filtration and is composed of a tuft of capillaries.
Glomeruli are structures that make up nephrons.
