Here is a new and improved version of my old bathtub overflow plate. (See source link below for old version.)
This new one can be printed without support structures.
The plate on a standard bathtub "overflow drain" pulls water from the bottom. This means the maximum water level can never go above the bottom of the overflow plate.
To increase the maximum water level, I created this "High Tide" overflow plate that drains from the top. Now you can add a few inches of water to your bath!
I did some finishing on mine with XTC 3D Brush On epoxy and white enamel spray paint.
Use 100% Silicone Bathroom Caulk to get a good seal. See instructions for specifics.
Note: In the pictured version, you see little drain holes in the top. I removed these in the final version. They were unnecessary and hard to finish around.
