Hi there,
This is a mounting bracket that allows you to attach a BL Touch unit directly to the motor assembly on the E3D Hemera (formerly Hermes) toolhead design.
To make use of this bracket, you will need:
1 x BL Touch Unit (Complete)
1 x Hemera Hot End Assembly (Complete)
4 x M3 Washers (Black Oxide)
2 x M3x12 SHCS (Black Oxide) Screws
2 x M3x35 BHCS (Black Oxide) Screws
2 x M3 Nyloc Nuts (Black Oxide)
1 x (Optional) Black Heatshrink
Reference the picture to look at a 'completed assembly'. The installation is pretty self explanatory. To install, you will need to remove the 2 front-facing philips screws from the Hemera motor itself; they will be replaced with the M3x35 SHCS screws that will run through the bracket and attach the bracket and tighten to the motor.
Pictured here is a BL Touch unit attached to a Hemera design for the Lulzbot Taz (modern carriage), however, given the fixed layout of the Hemera, the design itself should be compatible with any Hemera unit, as long as you have sufficient clearance on the right hand side of the assembly (the BL Touch mounts right, and you don't want it getting smashed when your carriage is asked to move to the full right extent).
The Nozzle Offsets to use for Marlin (when attached to a Hemera) are:
X_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER 64
Y_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER -15
You can mirror this design front-to-back and mount, which will bring the Y_PROBE_OFFSET to 0 (ideal) on the back of the motor, but ONLY IF you have clearance on the right hand side of your machine with the gantry full right to do so. On my Lulzbot, I do not have that clearance, so I flipped it front to back (as is the way this design is shipped).
Use at your own risk, may void your warranty, etc etc.
Have fun!
