This is one of tripod pads/foots I plan to create for telescope tripod mounts legs to provide either isolation of floor from tripod studs. Provide reliable stand of tripod on sand or any other ground surface.
The pads should survive under EQ6 telescope mount whose overall weight is 34 kg without telescope (7.3kg tripod + 10.2 kg of counterweight + 16.5 kg for mount head), and may reach 52 kg maximum with full telescope load. This is why the pads are necessary when playing with the mount and telescope on the floor or in field with not reliable ground surface.
Print 1 pad for each tripod leg.
UPD1:
07/11/2017 - I added ABS version with support to help print it with ABS plastic in open printer. External wall around the printed model helps prevent quick cooldown of external wall in open (non-box) printers, that cause warping of the object, and leads to print fail. The ABS model still requires raft to prevent warping - this gives most of anti-warp measures. Finally I printed all 3 pads having last 2 pads printed with UPD1 model and they have less warping than the first pad (2mm vs 3.5mm side rise over table). While they are not perfect, but anyway they do what they intended for.
