I loved the original design by DigChaos, it printed nicely and looked great! However for such a nice design it was kinda flimsy.. I decided to remix it and include a few non-printed parts to make it rock solid and capable of supporting a lot of weight.. Now you could pretty much shoot bullets out of this thing!
I haven’t modified the original barrel so if you already printed one it will be compatible with this design. I may in the future redesign the barrel to a). have wider holes b). print quicker.
Hardware you will need (I have included links to the items I used, if you purchase others, make sure to check measurements)

The 608 bearings and M3 bolts you may have already if you have been printing for a while.
The links above will give you enough material to make at least 4 of these, they make great gifts!
Printed Parts;
The Revolver Barrel print with around 30% infill, and use 3 walls for best strength. No supports.
The Base takes around 4 1/2 hours and using 30% infill is recommended. No supports.
Spacer and Spacer Cap should be printed standing upright with a .45 line width and 3 walls
Assembly;
Using a hacksaw cut the 8mm rod down to 82mm, file down the edges so it doesn’t cut you later! You should have plenty left for extra models.
Insert the nuts into the holes on the base, some gentle persuasion with a blunt object may be required!
The flange is a press fit, align the holes and using the 4 x 12mm M3 bolts tighten everything down.
Stack; a 608 bearing, 3D Printed Spacer, 608 Bearing, then Spacer Cap, and finally install the 3D Printed Revolver Barrel.
Give it a whirl and make sure everything is working. It should now be a lot stronger and last a long long time. Hope you enjoy!
