This hand is designed to be used as a robotics platform or be remodeled for use as a prosthetic device.
This design features a rigid yet anatomically accurate arm, elbow and hand. The pads of the fingers are flat so that touch sensation can be added. The forearm is designed so that stepper motors and batteries may be mounted on the flat internal surface. The tendon guides are easily threaded by using a thin wire. Pass the wire through the guides and so that it may be super glued to 100 lb carbon fiber. Fishing line of this description will work well. Once the glue is dry simply pull the wire and the line will thread itself. Superglue the line at the end of the finger tips. File and sand each part to insure that complete freedom and flexibility is attained before you superglue the pins for the joints. The clearance between moving parts is .020 inch so the prints will have less interference and require less sculpting during assembly.
