Caster’s “CR-10 Dual Z axis with single stepper” https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2569379 fits perfectly on the Ender Extender 400 mod, except that the Extender’s top frame is too wide (400mm for the CR-10, 500mm for the EnderExtender) for the CR-10’s belt length. By my calculation I needed a closed GT2 belt that was 1052 mm long: (852 + 2*100). The best fit I could find from a U.S. warehouse was 1140mm. So I designed this GT2 timing belt adjuster that would correct for up to about 100mm excess length.
Caster has the necessary STLs and parts list on his Thingiverse posting, but you will not need the 852mm GT belt.
To install Caster’s device onto the Ender Extender 400 installation using my GT2 belt adjuster, you will need the following additional parts or equivalent:
(1) GT2 belt at least 1052mm long, but no longer than 1140. I bought https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B018HN8576/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
(3) GT2 pulleys. I bought https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08K7M39GN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
(3) 25mm M5 bolts with nylon nuts to attach pulleys to mount
(2) 16mm M4 machine screws with matching T-slot nuts to attach mount to the top frame
(1) 35mm M4 machine screw (or 1½” #8 machine screw) for the slider
(1) Matching M4 or #8 knob with enclosed nut for the slider. (Print your favorite knob posted on Thingiverse.)
For some reason, the Thingiverse website would not let me post this as a remix of Caster's superb design. If this problem is fixed, I will happily give credit where credit is deserved. :-)
