The distant colonies and trading depots have a wide variety of smaller gunship patrol ships, and this replica is one of the most common. Built with a combination of Federation engines with rudimentary laser turret and hull, designed and built by Icorre Group based on Epsilon Indi. The ships can be disassembled and placed in standard cargo containers and distributed to any star system, where the locals can re-assemble them quickly.
The ships are fast, but with limited range and no shields or other defenses. They are ideal ambush weapons which can fire and flee. The gun is a fairly standard nuke gun slug weapon but carries limited ammunition. This ship is designed to be a cheap defense asset, but unless used in numbers, they cannot stand up to even a single Alien Meson gunship.
In service, despite being known as "5 minute ships" by their crews, they have proved cheap and useful.
